North Weald Airfield is just off the A414, east of Harlow, as shown on this map. If you have a choice, it may be better to approach from the east than the west, as the roundabout at M11 junction 7 is often badly congested. North Weald has its own exit from the A414; there is no access through North Weald village. After leaving the A414, turn right at the first roundabout, then make a U-turn at the second and turn left through the main gates. Once inside, turn left and follow the perimeter track all the way round the outside of the field, until you arrive at the distinctively camouflaged buildings of the Squadron. Give way to taxiing aircraft, and stop at the runway crossing if the lights are red.
If you arrive on a market day (most Saturdays and bank holidays) you will have to join the market traffic (allow some extra time!) which may be using a different entrance. Again, once inside, keep left all the way around the perimeter, and decline offers from the marshals to park you in the market area.
